WELCOME TO OUR BLOG

Hello friends in Europe,

My name is Emma and I’m a teacher at Almåsgymnasiet, in a town called Borås, in Sweden.
Almåsgymnasiet is an upper secondary school with almost a thousand students. Our students are 16-19 years old. We have various vocational programmes such as the programme of nursing and health, the programme of handicraft (hairdressing, florist, make-up, tailoring), the programme of hotel/tourism and restaurant, the programme of business and administration, and the programme of child and recreation. I teach at the child and recreation programme.
The child and recreation programme is a vocational programme. With a diploma from the programme, students should have the knowledge needed to work with children, youth or adults in pedagogical and social vocational areas, or in the recreational or healthcare sectors. In the programme students should also be given opportunities to study courses preparatory for higher education in these areas.
One of my classes at the child and recreation programme is going to create this blog and tell you about the Swedish culture and their daily life. There are nineteen students in the class, seventeen female students and two male students. We hope that you will find the blog interesting. We are looking forward to read your blog as well.
Kind Regards,
Emma and my students Sofia, Tanja, Elin, Donja, Johanna, Marigona, Henisa, Emily, Millan, Hanna, Emelie, Sade, Simon, Liridona, Erik, Dzenita, Elin, Sara, Lina
